30 min ..	Proumeyssac est aujourd'hui la plus grande cavité aménagée du Périgord. Par un tunnel, on accède facilement à cette immense voûte souterraine aux parois ornées d'une multitude de cristallisations d'une densité exceptionnelles. Protected by one of the many beautiful hillsides of the Vézère valley, the Gouffre de Proumeyssac is the largest fitted out and developed cavities in the Périgord. The density and variety of the crystallisations which decorate the walls of this enormous underground cavern are of certain geological interest. A new lighting installation, created for the third millennium, along with new improved works have enabled the Gouffre de Proumeyssac to display its many charms at their best. De diepe put van Proumeyssac is de grootste ingerichte holte van de Périgord (50 m) en ligt beschut tegen één van de prachtige hellingen van het Vézèredal. De dichtheid en variëteit van de kristallen die de wanden van dit enorme onderaardse gewelf sieren en in een oogopslag kunnen worden gadegeslagen, zijn geologisch gezien echt interessant. Met een nieuwe belichting die voor het 3e millenium is ontworpen en na aanzienlijke aanpassingen, onthult de diepe put van Proumeyssac heel veel moois.
